September - Resentment to Joy Exercise
1. Choose an activity or chore (even the word chore, sounds like you don't want to do it!)
that you have to do, but you really don't enjoy.
Don't make it too big, like, your job, for example.
Chose a task at work or home that is not a favourite thing to do.
(Examples might include the dishes, laundry, cleaning the tea-room, filing, attending to emails)
Write it here

2. How do you usually feel when you do this activity
and what do you tell yourself while you are doing it?
(You may feel frustrated, resentful, bored,or impatient.
Maybe you tell yourself - its not fair, why should I do it or I don't want to do it )
Write it here

3. Is this a true, helpful story to keep telling yourself?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Could you rewrite it to a more happy making one?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Think about who you help when you do this task
Dedicate doing the activity with joy
to them and their happiness (and yours too)
Rewrite the story here with those you help joyfully in mind

4. Be on the lookout for that past unhelpful thought pattern
and replace it with the new helpful one
How did you go?
